Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information that may pass through McDonough County Released Inmates, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors. Outside sites and search providers apply their own policies.

Information We Receive

Search terms entered in an embedded search box are sent to the third-party provider that powers it. We may receive messages and the contact details a visitor chooses to include. Standard technical records can include an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, and error or performance data. Cookies and similar storage may remember settings, support site functions, measure use, or help advertising and analytics services operate.

How Information Is Used

Data may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, diagnose faults, understand general traffic, prevent misuse, and improve how information is organized. Search providers use submitted queries under their own terms. Visitors should avoid placing sensitive personal details into a search box or general message.

Who May Receive Data

Information may be available to search partners, hosting and technical vendors, analytics services, and advertising networks as needed for their services. It may also be preserved or disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, and site security. We do not control an outside recipient's independent practices.

Cookies and Browser Choices

Browser settings can block or erase cookies. Doing so may change how some tools work. Advertising or analytics providers may offer separate opt-out controls, and their policies explain those choices.

Links Beyond This Site

Links lead to sheriff, court, corrections, notification, federal, and third-party services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy governs. A link does not make this site responsible for that service's data handling, security, or content.

Security and Retention

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet system is perfectly secure. Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, legal duties, dispute handling, or site protection. Visitors send information at their own risk.

Children Under Eighteen

This service is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contacts page.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information supplied directly to us, or object to some processing. We may need to verify the request and may retain data when law permits or requires it. Requests about a partner's data must go to that partner.

Policy Revisions

This policy may change as services or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after posting means the visitor should review the current text.
